Life Update: Our Family’s Upcoming Transition

For the past five years, I’ve deeply enjoyed helping men try to discern what God is up to in their lives through the mentoring ministry of ATLAS of West Central Minnesota.

But the past few years I’ve also been learning from my own mentors as I’ve been discerning a call toward pastoral ministry. I’ve had this call affirmed through the encouragement of my mentors and the support and agreement of my wife and daughters. And this led me to start seminary a year and a half ago through Sioux Falls Seminary.

That’s why we’re excited to share that this week I accepted a call from Rock Haven Church in Granite Falls, MN to serve as the pastor of a church they are planting in Montevideo, MN.

This means my last day with ATLAS will be Friday, December 3rd. Our family will begin the process of moving to Montevideo and preparing for the ministry God has called us to there.

I’ll be forever grateful to the ATLAS Board of Directors for asking me to consider serving as the director of ATLAS. Next week will actually mark for me five years as the director of ATLAS. I have been blessed to work with a great staff and so many faithful volunteers.

I’m excited to see what God will continue to do through the ministry of ATLAS. I will be praying for the Board as they prepare to conduct a search for a new director. And I will be praying for our staff as God works through them in their life-giving mentoring relationships.

To all of you who have prayed for, volunteered with, and donated to ATLAS, thank you so much. My hope and prayer is that you will continue that support for this great ministry into the future.

Our family also welcome your prayers as we go this transition. We’re so excited to be a part of God’s kingdom work in Montevideo!
